| GENERAL INFORMATION |
|
|
The Seminar is intended to provide a forum for the exchange of information
and expertise as well as presentation of recent developments in nanostructural analysis
techniques and their applications for functional materials and devices, achieved during
the last 10 years and particularly over the last two years. In modern, knowledge-driven
societies, nanotechnology is recognized as a field of great importance and a hot topic
of international research as it is creating a wealth of new materials and manufacturing
possibilities, which in turn impact profoundly our economy, our environment and our society.
We assume that the scope of the Seminar will encompass life science field, because materials
microscopy and life microscopy have been effectively developed in association with each other.
All participants are expected to recognize and bring to light their near-future objectives and
ways of contributing with their knowledge and expertise to the global nanotechnology and
bio-medical science. The event will also provide an opportunity for scientists to establish
valuable contacts, develop international collaborations and improve their international
cooperative projects. The Seminar shall be organized under the cooperative advice of the active
members of our academic communities and groups of researchers, including Japanese scientists.
