About us

Divi­sion in Kra­kow incor­po­ra­ting Depart­ment of Micro­elec­tro­nics is a part of the Insti­tute of Elec­tron Tech­no­logy (ITE) whose main site is loca­ted in War­saw. The mis­sion of the Depart­ment is to con­duct basic and applied rese­arch to deve­lop inno­va­tive micro- and nano­tech­no­lo­gies and their appli­ca­tions in the area of micro­elec­tro­nics, pho­to­vol­ta­ics, sen­sors and micro­sys­tems.

Our rese­arch acti­vity covers a wide area: from tech­no­lo­gi­cal know­ledge inc­lu­ding ela­bo­ra­tion and cha­rac­te­ri­za­tion of cera­mic mate­rials, cera­mic com­po­si­tes and poly­mer com­po­si­tes, deve­lop­ment of leadless sol­de­ring and micro­as­sem­bling pro­ces­ses, to design and manu­fac­tu­ring of sen­sors, elec­tro­nic cir­cu­its and sys­tems for medi­cine, PV instal­la­tions, envi­ron­ment pro­tec­tion and measu­re­ment equ­ip­ment. At pre­sent, the main focus is on the deve­lop­ment of LTCC tech­no­logy and its appli­ca­tions and orga­nic elec­tro­nics on cera­mic and orga­nic sub­stra­tes. The offer of the Depart­ment also inc­lu­des a wide range of elec­tri­cal and techno-climatic labo­ra­tory tests.
