Division in Krakow incorporating Department of Microelectronics is a part of the Institute of Electron Technology (ITE) whose main site is located in Warsaw. The mission of the Department is to conduct basic and applied research to develop innovative micro- and nanotechnologies and their applications in the area of microelectronics, photovoltaics, sensors and microsystems.
Our research activity covers a wide area: from technological knowledge including elaboration and characterization of ceramic materials, ceramic composites and polymer composites, development of leadless soldering and microassembling processes, to design and manufacturing of sensors, electronic circuits and systems for medicine, PV installations, environment protection and measurement equipment. At present, the main focus is on the development of LTCC technology and its applications and organic electronics on ceramic and organic substrates. The offer of the Department also includes a wide range of electrical and techno-climatic laboratory tests.
