Foil heaters 'Foliterm'
Foil heater FOLITERM are manufactured on the base of conductive polymer-silver and polymer-carbon compositions deposited by screen printing on elastic polymer foils. Using screen printing to deposit the heater layer enables to offer heaters of any shapes, temperature distributions according to customer requirements and competitive prices. A heating layers are protected against environmental conditions such as humidity, dust and rain. Heaters are mostly supplied in a version with an adhesive layer on a back side. The adhesive provides tight adhesion of a foil to heating elements even of irregular shapes. Additionally FOLITERM heaters features by a positive temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) that means that resistance increases strongly when temperature arises. As the result, the value of dissipated power is automatically limited and the elements are protected against excessive overheating and in consequence against premature damaging. FOLITERM heaters are mainly applied for car mirrors protection against wet and hoarfrost, however they are also applied for fluids heating in medical equipment as well as for heating samples in biological microscopy examination.
